The National Civil Protection Coordination issued this Sunday Emergency Declaration for Ahome, Sinaloa, and for Los Cabos and Comondú, in Baja California Sur.
For Ahome, it was because of the heavy rains that hit days ago, and for Los Cabos and Comondú, due to severe rains and flooding on August 22 and 23, Excélsior reports.
With this action the resources of the Emergency Assistance Fund (Fonden) were activated, so once this declaration is issued, the authorities will have resources to meet the food, shelter and health needs of the affected inhabitants.
