Mazatlan, Sin.- With the objective of contributing to the prevention of the crime of human trafficking and raising awareness, on Tuesday July 30th municipal and state authorities joined in, all dressed in blue, to form a heart in Mazatlan’s Plazuela Republica esplanade.

Renato Ocampo Alcántar, Executive Secretary of the State Public Security System, said that this problem is not exclusive to Mexico, but it’s a worldwide situation that must be resolved. So authorities should always be alert and reinforce prevention to mitigate this crime that threatens the human dignity.

At the end of the speech by Ocampo Alcántar, prominent members of the state and municipal governments formed a blue heart, which represents the sadness of those who are victims of human trafficking and the #AQUIESTOY (#HEREIAM) hashtag was used to name this campaign on social networks.
