Interjet cancels 10 flights affecting 1,557 passengers

The Federal Consumer Prosecutor’s Office (Profeco) reported on Monday July 29th, that the Mexican airl carrier Interjet has canceled 10 flights affecting a total of 1,557 passengers.

“Today, ABC Aerolíneas SA de CV (Interjet) notified the Federal Consumer Attorney’s Office (Profeco) the cancellation of ten flights, six at the Mexico City International Airport (AICM) and four in other states of the country , affecting 1,557 passengers, “Profeco said in a statement posted on Twitter.

Profeco pointed out the actions that the airline must have taken not to affect the users.

-In the event of a delay of more than one hour and less than four hours, Interjet must pay users according to the airline’s compensation policies, including discounts for flights at a later date to the contracted destination and food and beverage expenses.

-If the delay was more than two hours but less than four, the airline has to give discounts that cannot be less than 7.5 percent.

In the case of cancellations, Profeco made the number 55 68 87 22 and 01 800 468 87 22 available to users.

So far this year, Profeco has filed 830 complaints against Interjet and made 915 immediate conciliations.
