The Riviera Nayarit is practically sold-out during these summer vacation holidays, which is generating a significant economic spill in the area.
This was stated by the municipal president of Bahía de Banderas, Jaime Cuevas Tello, who said that Riviera Nayarit offers different types of lodging for all budgets, from exclusive 5-star hotels, to less expensive accommodations.
The mayor confirmed that the beaches are being cleaned daily, to keep them in excellent conditions for all visitors to enjoy at its best.
Regarding the sargassum situation, he lamented what is happening in the Mexican Caribbean, and said he hopes that the federal, state and municipal governments, along with the corresponding dependencies can work together to solve this serious problem. He added that the economic losses for this region of the country are real.
“If Cancun, Playa del Carmen, Mazatlán, Banderas Bay, Los Cabos or any other world-class beach destination in Mexico are doing well, the country is doing well, which is why it is necessary to focus all efforts to rescue Quintana Roo from the sargassum phenomenom”, concluded Jaime Cuevas Tello.
