For the second consecutive year
According to the World Travel Awards Latin America 2019, the Mazatlan tourist port has been recognized for the second consecutive year as the best destination in the Mexico and Central America category.
The recognition was granted by a group of hospitality experts that include the World Travel and Tourism Council, reports Forbes Mexico magazine.
The ceremony was held in the city of La Paz, in Bolivia, on July 15.
Mazatlan surpassed other national destinations such as Mexico City, Acapulco, Cancun and Tijuana, and destinations of Central American countries such as Granada, in Nicaragua, San José, in Costa Rica, and Panama, Panama.
“Sea, beach, party, an enviable climate and vibrant gastronomy, are the attributes that have put Mazatlan at the top of the preferences of experts,” says Forbes Mexico.
They emphasize the change of image that Mazatlan has had from a few years to date, “until becoming one of the favorites of national and international tourism”.
