Man tries to rob a house and is beaten and subdued by owners

MAZATLÁN.- A young man who allegedly stole some objects from a house in Colonia Montuosa, was caught in the act by the owner of the property.

The house owner beat up the young man sho had to be taken down from the second floor of the house on a stretcher by firefighters.

The incident took place during the early hours of Saturday April 6th, at Calle Pérez Arce of the aforementioned neighborhood.

The first reports indicate that apparently the young man was surprised by the owners of an address where he intended to commit a robbery, so he tried to escape, but was caught and beaten up by the house owner and next door neighbors.

The thief was caught on the roof of the house, where he was subdued.

Volunteers from the Mazatlán firefighters went to the site to get the injured person off the house, along with Red Cross paramedics, who transferred him to a hospital for medical attention, where he was detained by the local police.

Staff of the Attorney General’s Office would be responsible for investigating the facts to open the corresponding investigation file.
