Prepare for a hot day; anticipate up to 40 degrees in Sinaloa

April will start with very high temperatures and winds with gusts of up to 40 km / h in the state

Tonight and early morning, the passage of the cold front No. 48  in interaction with a trough in southeastern Mexico will cause very strong punctual storms, with electric shocks and possible hail fall in Puebla, Veracruz, Oaxaca and Chiapas ; strong in Nuevo León, Tamaulipas, San Luis Potosí, Hidalgo, Querétaro and Tabasco. 

The  mass of cold air  that drives it, generates marked decrease in temperature and dense fog banks in the northeast, center and east of the country, in addition to  “North” event  with gusts exceeding 80 km / h, possible formation of waterspouts and high waves on the coasts of Tamaulipas and Veracruz, a condition that will extend to the Isthmus and the Gulf of Tehuantepec. 

For this Monday, it is forecast that the front No. 48 will be extended with stationary characteristics in the Gulf of Mexico and southeast of the country, maintaining the potential of rains with electrical storms over these regions. The associated cold air mass will cause cold weather in the morning and night with dense fogs in the northeast, east and southeast of the national territory, as well as  “North” event  with gusts of over 70 km / h in the Isthmus and Gulf of Mexico. Tehuantepec and with gusts of over 50 km / h in Tamaulipas, Veracruz and Tabasco.
