Businessmen from the trade, services and tourism sectors affiliated with the Confederation of National Chambers of Commerce, Services and Tourism (Concanaco-Servytur) have decided this year to launch packages and train trained tour operators in Mandarin, this as part of the strategy of attracting more Chinese tourists.
In addition, the agency launched an educational program for young people to serve Chinese tourism, which is interested in visiting Mexico, but there are no conditions, culture or means of payment to be served.
In an interview with El Economista, Enrique Alcázar Córdova, vice president of Intellectual Property and Franchises of the Concanaco-Servytur, explained that about 150 million Chinese tourists, of which 30 million go abroad, but of them “not even 150,000 to Mexico, which represents the opportunity to open tourism to Asian culture. ”
During the first nine months of 2018, almost 8 million tourists from the United States entered; 1.5 million from Canada and 451,000 from the United Kingdom. While Chinese travelers barely added 121,000 people.
As another strategic act, Casa México Concanaco will open in Shanghai, China next February, which will be an enclosure where Mexican companies will be able to exhibit their products and sell them in that country, backed by the Chinese government.
