The concrete layer recently installed on the Malecón de Mazatlán did not take hold and it had to be removed. “The rains caused the cement to wash out”, the construction company recognized.
The warning of the civil engineers of Mazatlán was fulfilled, since a part of the concrete that was placed the week before on Del Mar Avenue collapsed by the rains, reason why about 50 square meters of pavement had to be removed.
Ernesto March Huerta, director of the company Remco, responsible for the work, acknowledged that this was a consequence of the rains of recent days, which resulted in a “landslide” of the newly placed concrete, as it did not finish drying due to the bad weather conditions.
