The Carnival Panorama arrives in Mazatlán with more than 5,000 visitors

Mazatlán welcomes over 4,000 cruise passengers aboard the Carnival Panorama.

The international and domestic visitors generate significant economic activity, in this case approximately 4 million pesos.

At 9:00 a.m. this Wednesday, the Carnival Panorama cruise ship arrived in the city from Puerto Vallarta with 4,451 passengers and 1,420 crew members.

This cruise ship is the ninth of 13 vessels scheduled to arrive in February, docking at Mazatlán’s tourist port piers to disembark groups who book tours of iconic landmarks such as the Cathedral, the Pino Suárez Municipal Market, Machado Square, the Cliff Diver’s Roundabout, the Lighthouse, the Malecón (boardwalk), and the Golden Zone.

To date, a total of 34,771 cruise passengers have visited the city, according to data compiled by the Ministry of Tourism from the various ships that have arrived.

In the first month of the year, 15 cruise ships carrying 51,000 passengers visited the city, generating 82 million pesos in economic activity for the various sectors providing tourism services in the port.

Last year, 436,000 international visitors arrived aboard 124 cruise ships, generating an estimated economic impact of 695 million pesos.
