Mazatlán, Sinaloa. More than 3 thousand elements, 350 vehicles, and three helicopters will participate in the Mazatlan Carnival 2026 Security Operation that will provide security in the different events of the party that begins from February 12 to 17.
Governor Rubén Rocha Moya gave the symbolic flag to the security contingent that paraded along the tourist avenue and said that the operation will continue until the first half of April, to continue with the reinforcement of surveillance during the holiday season.
Oscar Renteria Shazarino said that they want to convey a message that Mazatlan can be enjoyed with confidence and that the institutions will be attentive, working in a coordinated manner to accompany these events of the cultural tradition and social life of the port.
He pointed out that in the operation, there will be a permanent presence 24 hours a day in all tourist areas, concentration areas, roads and access to the port in a coordinated manner during the day of carnival.
This operation is made up of elements of the Mexican Army, Mexican Navy, National Guard, Secretariat of Security and Citizen Protection, and state and local security corporations, as well as civil protection corps and volunteer firefighters.
