In January, Mazatlán welcomed 51,920 cruise ship tourists aboard 15 vessels, generating an economic impact of over 82 million pesos.
The Secretary of Tourism for Sinaloa, Mireya Sosa Osuna, highlighted that a strategy focused on promoting and attracting the cruise industry has generated significant activity in the port, benefiting the local economy.
This Thursday, the “Norwegian Bliss” arrived from Puerto Vallarta with 4,242 passengers and 1,612 crew members, marking the last cruise ship arrival in January.
After disembarking at 7:30 a.m., the cruise passengers visited the port’s most iconic tourist attractions, such as the Cliff Diver, Liverpool Alley, Machado Square, the Cathedral, and the Pino Suárez Market.
They also took advantage of their stay to explore the Malecón, the Golden Zone, the Paseo del Centenario, and other attractions, as well as to sample Mazatlán’s cuisine.
According to the Asipona schedule, Mazatlán will receive 13 cruise ships in February.
In 2025, 124 cruise ships arrived with more than 436,000 passengers, generating an economic impact of over 695 million pesos.
