The Sinaloa destination has received 83 cruise ship arrivals and more than 308,000 visitors so far this year, generating over 486 million pesos in revenue.
During 2025, Mazatlán, Sinaloa, has received 83 cruise ships with more than 308,000 visitors, resulting in an economic impact exceeding 486 million pesos, according to the State Tourism Secretariat.
The head of the agency, Mireya Sosa Osuna, reported that the port is experiencing one of its peak seasons for cruise ship arrivals, a situation that is having a positive impact on the hotel, restaurant, and commercial sectors of the municipality.
According to Sosa Osuna, the constant arrival of cruise ships reflects the confidence that international cruise lines have in Mazatlán, one of the most attractive destinations on the Mexican Pacific coast.
The official highlighted that the federal and state governments have worked in coordination to strengthen port infrastructure and security, factors that allow them to offer a quality experience to visitors who enjoy the beaches, the climate, and the local cuisine.
Eighteen cruise ship arrivals are scheduled for November, beginning with the “Royal Princess,” which arrived this Tuesday with 3,626 passengers. The ship arrived at 8:15 a.m. from Los Cabos and will depart at 6:00 p.m. bound for Puerto Vallarta.
Cruises are scheduled for the first half of the month on the 4th, 6th, 11th, 12th, and 13th, while arrivals are expected in the second half on the 16th, 18th, 19th, 20th, 21st, 25th, 26th, and 27th.
The port has shown a steady flow of cruise ships throughout the year. In January, 13 cruise ships arrived with 48,351 passengers; in February, eight ships arrived with 31,943 passengers; in March, 15 cruise ships arrived with 57,579 passengers; and in April, 12 cruise ships arrived with 40,779 passengers.
During May, the port received seven cruise ships with 21,701 passengers; in June, three ships arrived with 13,768 passengers; in July, four ships arrived with 17,692 passengers; in August, three ships arrived with 13,283 passengers; in September, five ships arrived with 18,615 passengers; and in October, 12 cruise ships arrived with a total of 41,380 passengers.
