The penultimate weekend of the summer vacation season in Mazatlán saw a good influx of tourists.
Despite the 38-degree temperature, tourists strolled along the boardwalk and visited the main attractions, with arrivals beginning after 2 p.m.
During the meeting of the Regional Security and Peacebuilding Roundtable at the Third Military Region headquarters, Mayor Estrella Palacios Domínguez stated that they are working hard to ensure the peace of Mazatlan residents and tourists visiting the city.
Palacios Domínguez emphasized the importance of collaboration between various security agencies and emergency services to maintain a peaceful atmosphere.
Hoteliers stated that they expect 70 percent occupancy in their lodging establishments this weekend.
This is expected to be the last weekend with high occupancy, as tourists historically stop traveling for a week to prepare for the return to school.
