We’re proud to be the 2025 Pride queen! It’s content creator Paola Suárez, who will be present at the LGBTTTIQA+ Pride march in Mazatlán.

The organizing committee of the now-traditional LGBTTTIQA+ Pride march announced that this year’s queen would be “Lost” Paola Suárez, causing excitement among attendees and supporters.

On the social media channels of MazOrgullo, led by the Sinaloa Diverse Collective, they posted a video confirming the news.

“I’m here to invite you to Mazatlán Pride 2025, Comadres. Comadres, I’m going to be there, I’m going to have the honor of being crowned queen, Comadres. Suffer, you filthy people, suffer,” Paola Suárez said in the video.

Before being crowned, and as is customary, the content creator will parade along the Mazatlán boardwalk before arriving at the area where she will be crowned and where star-studded performances will take place.

Paloa Suárez, or Paolita Suárez, rose to fame alongside her friend Wendy Guevara in 2017 when they both uploaded a video featuring the iconic internet phrase “We’re lost.” Since then, they have been known as such and have remained popular.

Directly or indirectly, Paola Suárez has brought visibility to trans women over the past few years, gaining popularity and support from the LGBTTTIQA+ community.

An attack that changed her life

On the afternoon of January 10, 2024, she was attacked by her partner, who hours earlier had proposed to her in a video shared on social media that went viral.

Suárez escaped the attacks by jumping from a second-floor balcony. She was rushed to a hospital, where doctors examined her and issued an injury report: she had fractured ribs and a broken septum, as well as the possible loss of an eye.
