Armed groups are moving on the La Costerita highway and Mexico 15; no people injured so far.
At the moment, an armed confrontation is being recorded between civilians in the southern exit of Culiacán, with no reports of people injured.
In videos taken by drivers who were passing through the area at the time, which are already circulating in WhatsApp groups, you can see when armed subjects fire.
On the other hand, it is mentioned that federal authorities are moving towards the site. In other videos from the moment, you can see a caravan of vehicles with armed men on the La Costerita highway traveling at excessive speed towards the southern exit.
Likewise, other caravans of trucks on Mexico 15, south of Culiacán. According to versions, there is presence of armed groups in the Alturas del Sur neighborhood, however, this information has not been confirmed by any competent authority.
One military man and three civilians killed during the shootings that took place yesterday in Culiacán
Yesterday began the confrontations between armed civilians and supposedly personnel from the Secretariat of National Defense (Sedena), three civilians and one soldier died during the violent day. Two more were injured and a dozen vehicles were seized at points where there were shootouts.
The report
The Secretary of Public Security (SSP) reported that in response to reports on the confrontations, they initiated a deployment in coordination with federal forces. They indicated that everything started in the La Campiña colony and extended to other parts of the city; however, no person was located.
By expanding preventive and security operations, two vehicles were found: a white pickup truck and another unit, a black Suburban. Both were located in different areas, with gunshot impacts.
Later, on the Mexico 15 highway, at the southern exit of Culiacán, a blockade was presented that was cleared by authorities. There, a trailer and a pickup truck, as well as a person without life, who has not been identified, were found. In this case, it was mentioned in an unofficial manner that it was Juan Carlos N, who was 32 years old and had his home in the Nakayama neighborhood of Culiacán. He remained on the side of the vehicle.
Minutes after this incident, reports were received about two people injured by gunfire, one in a clinic in Culiacán and another in Costa Rica.
Also, there is a report on an altercation in the syndicature of Costa Rica, so authorities from the Secretariat of National Defense and the Preventive State Police are moving to the site. At the location, the Public Security Secretary managed to secure a civilian, as well as 10 vehicles that were found abandoned and with multiple gunshot impacts. It was determined that one of the vehicles is armored.
Also, the SSP confirmed a blockade in the syndicature of Quilá-Eldorado, which was cleared for total circulation.
Aggression against military personnel
Two injured military personnel entered the facilities of the Institute of Security and Social Services for State Workers (Issste) with the supposed presence of armed groups from organized crime. One of them wore the rank of commander and was identified as César Augusto N, who was 42 years old. According to authorities, he died from a gunshot wound in the face. A second element underwent surgery after suffering a bullet wound in an extremity. By nightfall, there were two more killings, in the Guadalupe Victoria colony, in the municipality of Eldorado.
Vehicle seizures
The state department reported that since Sunday night and part of yesterday morning they attended 12 reports at the Center for Control, Command, Communication and Computing (C4) regarding 12 vehicle seizures in different parts of the city.
