In October, the first stage of the Tetakawi manufacturing community or Tetakawi Park will begin operations, announced Javier Gaxiola Coppel.
The Secretary of Economy in Sinaloa said that Tetakawi Park is selling Mazatlán and Sinaloa to the world, and the industry will mark an important milestone in the economic development of the port.
“In October, the formal inauguration will take place, let’s say, of the aerospace company that is being installed here near the airport. That is for Mazatlán, pay attention to what I am telling you, Mazatlán is already present in manufacturing fairs around the world,” he said.
He commented that this project will position Mazatlán as a new player in the panorama of aerospace manufacturing, and there is already interest from sectors such as the medical, automotive and electronics sectors to set up in Mazatlán and Sinaloa.
He stressed that this type of investment is essential for the economic development of the state, since manufacturing generates permanent formal jobs with benefits, such as IMSS and Infonavit, which will benefit the population.
Gaxiola Coppel indicated that Mazatlán will not only be seen as a tourist destination, but also as a center for manufacturing investment.
The Tetakawi Industrial Park is located at the southern exit of Mazatlán, near the airport, and is emerging as a key center for industrial development and competitiveness in the region.
