Mazatlán has positioned itself as one of the most sought-after destinations to celebrate the September 15th long weekend, revealed Booking.com
The lodging rental platform said that the popular Mexican destinations are Mexico City, Mazatlán, Puerto Vallarta, Cancún and Acapulco.
“The national holidays are just around the corner, that only means that many are looking for where they will rest during the long weekend of September 15th,” says a statement from Booking.
According to the vacation platform, there was a 29 percent growth compared to the previous year, in searches for accommodations within Mexico for the same dates.
“This increase reflects the interest of Mexicans to explore and enjoy national destinations during these dates,” says the press release.

Booking clarifies that the figure is exclusively about searches on the platform for the dates between September 13 and 15, which have not necessarily been converted into reservations.
