Avenida Insurgentes in Mazatlán Reopens to Traffic

The section of Avenida Insurgentes in Mazatlán that underwent comprehensive repairs has been reopened to traffic without an official inauguration.

At approximately 8:00 PM on Monday night, the municipal Public Works personnel finished clearing debris from the avenue.

The repair work cost approximately 50 million pesos, funded by the State Government. Traffic agents confirmed that vehicles are now allowed to pass up to the intersection with Avenida De las Américas.

However, there are still several meters left to complete the first phase, which extends to Calle 13 de Abril in the Benito Juárez neighborhood. Heavy machinery continues to work on lifting the concrete slab for the second phase, which has progressed up to Calle Juan Escutia.

This section of the avenue is illuminated and ready for use. The initial remodeling phase began on January 22nd and included a comprehensive overhaul of the sanitary and water supply systems, as well as pavement improvements.
