Tourist Found Deceased in a Mazatlán Hotel


A tourist from the state of Jalisco was discovered deceased inside a lodging facility located on Playa Gaviotas Avenue in Mazatlán.

The incident was reported around 12:00 PM on Wednesday when information came in about an unconscious person in one of the hotel rooms. Emergency services were requested.

Paramedics arrived at the well-known hotel and provided initial care to the unfortunate tourist, who was no longer showing signs of life. Authorities were notified accordingly.

The deceased individual was identified as Roberto Carlos “N,” approximately 52 years old, originally from Zapopan in the state of Jalisco.

Municipal Police cordoned off the area while awaiting personnel from the State Attorney General’s Office and the Apollo Investigation Group, who conducted necessary procedures at the scene.

Regarding the potential causes of death, forensic experts will provide further information after conducting their investigations.

Funeral workers on duty were responsible for handling the body and transporting it to the Forensic Medical Service for the required legal tests to determine the cause of death. The body will then be returned to the family for repatriation to their place of origin.
