With the arrival of the Pacific Marathon and Triathlon, after three years of absence, there will be a massive closure of roads throughout the port

MAZATLAN.- Are you ready for the Pacific Marathon and Triathlon? The port’s biggest athletic festival will take place from Friday, December 1 to Sunday, December 3, that is, this weekend. Mazatlán will have a full house, so to avoid stress, if you need to travel in your vehicle, simply take alternate routes, since several roads will be closed.

This great sporting event will have the participation of more than 7 thousand athletes, not including their companions for both events. If we add baseball with the Venados de Mazatlán and independent tourism, the atmosphere in Mazatlán will be crazy. To help you navigate the city, we’ll provide you with information on routes to avoid.

As part of this complete sports weekend, some roads are scheduled to be closed, especially Avenida del Mar. The alternative routes available will only be Gabriel Leyva, Ejercito Mexicano and Cruz Lizárraga.

Sergio Camacho, deputy director of Municipal Transit, highlighted that as the participants advance in the route, the roads will be opened, and by noon (around 12:00) it is expected to have most of the avenues clear, although the Official time is marked for 1:00 p.m.
