More than 200 competitors gathered over the weekend at the “Alfonso Díaz Santos” sports unit.
This weekend, Puerto Vallarta hosted the tenth edition of the meeting national sports “Pacific Games”, with the participation of more than 200 crossfit competitors from different parts of the country and the foreigner, who competed in the “Alfonso Díaz Santos” sports unit, with the logistical support from the Municipal Sports Council (Comude).
CrossFit combines various disciplines such as athletics, gymnastics, swimming, olympic lifts and cardiovascular endurance activities in different categories.
COMUDE is entrusted to the municipal president, Luis Alberto Michel Rodríguez, to promote sporting activity at all levels and grant all the facilities for holding events, as in this case it is a contest that was born in 2014 and has already acquired an international level, according to what explained Daniel López.
At the opening ceremony, councilor Sara Mosqueda Torres stated: “We hope that these games will be a success to all of you, we are sure that this competition will leave an imprint on their hearts and minds. This sport requires discipline and attitude and it certainly has an impact on your good health.”
Despite the strong sun on both days, Saturday and Sunday, the exponents demonstrated their great capacity and resistance to establish good marks and demonstrate that Pacific Games contributes significantly within the segment of sports tourism, in which Puerto Vallarta has positioned itself as a national and international reference because it has infrastructure and impressive natural settings.
