MAZATLAN. – More than 400 young university students from the states of Sinaloa, Sonora and Baja California will gather in Mazatlán during the fifth edition of University Conventions 2023, in which there will be conferences, academic, musical, sports and cultural events.
Moisés Ríos Pérez, undersecretary of Planning, Investment and Tourism Development in the state, mentioned that the mobility of events for the state generates an increase in the economic benefit of the destination, especially in low seasons.
“We know very well that when this happens there is an economic impact in the places they choose as headquarters, and Mazatlán, like other cities in Sinaloa, such as Culiacán or Los Mochis, to name a few, are quite attractive, in addition to having the infrastructure and adequate hotel to develop the for conventions.”
Ríos Pérez pointed out that academic tourism is one of the most mobile in the congress and convention segment, followed by accountants, doctors, chemists, lawyers, among others, which generates a promotional dynamism for the spaces where they hold these events.
For his part, Francisco Ibarra Noriega, coordinator of special events at Promotora Focus, organizer of University Conventions, explained that it is an annual event, since 2017, with the purpose of bringing together the largest number of university students in one place.
He announced that they work in coordination with the Center for University Studies of the New West and regarding the program of activities, he explained that the speakers to be presented are of international stature with the necessary experience to transmit their knowledge.
The activities, workshops and programs, in addition to being motivational, self-knowledge through sound, marketing and life stories that are an example to follow; They will also include workshops and social events, such as the coronation of the 2023 University Queen.
Among the speakers and the musical proposal will be, as stars Aczino, Joel Anaya, Miriam Trewartha and Iván Martz; The event will be from October 5 to 7 and anyone interested in attending can purchase their card with the possibility of general admission for 1,400 pesos or general admission plus two workshops for 2,100 pesos, only for this month of September.
For the day of the event, the card will have a value of 1,800 as general admission and 2,700 with two workshops included.
