Mazatlán, Sin.- Presidents of business organizations and members of the Interchamber, met with CAPUFE to follow up on the maintenance and lighting works of tunnels on the Durango-Mazatlán highway.

During the meeting, the main interest was to know the maintenance plan for one of the most important highways in the country, the superhighway used daily by thousands of citizens, for passenger and cargo transportation.

The head of the CAPUFE Regional Unit, Mauro Moreno Novoa, confirmed that work is being done to rehabilitate the lighting of 31 tunnels, including one of the most important, “El Sinaloense”, which is 2.8 kilometers long.

“In this project it is estimated to have significant progress during the second semester of this 2023,” he said.

Moreno Novoa shared that two asphalt folder replacement contracts are currently being executed in isolated sections, in addition there are annual maintenance contracts for the entire highway, paint supply and application, as well as metallic defense placement.

He assured that continuous conservation work is also carried out, in patching, leveling, cleaning, placing signs, debris removal, drainage, etc.

Ongoing maintenance

The head of the CAPUFE Regional Unit pointed out that last year the three emergency ramps were completely rehabilitated, and a property maintenance contract is about to start, whose objective is to keep the bathrooms in good condition.
