Just six minutes from Altata in Navolato is the coastal community El Tetuán Nuevo, which has just inaugurated a new attraction, Las Hamacas, an incredible restaurant located on a mangrove spot in the middle of the sea.

This new project opened today, April 1, causing great expectation on social networks, calling attention to its location on the water surrounded by green mangroves. To get there, it is necessary to take a boat from the Cooperativa del Tetuán Nuevo, a place where there are boatmen for the transfer of visitors, the journey to the restaurant lasts 5 minutes and is free.

Once on the site, you will be able to admire extensive green mangrove vegetation, with its roots exposed above the water level. The restaurant has sought to establish itself in the area without affecting the ecosystem, focusing on sustainable care and raising awareness among visitors about the conservation of the environment and the species that inhabit the area.

The restaurant is built with wood and as its name indicates, it has numerous hammocks to relax and enjoy the sounds of the sea.

In addition, it has swings in the middle of the water that welcome visitors and is a photographic stop, ideal for a souvenir photo.

To enjoy the cuisine and seafood that the area offers, it has an extensive menu, which includes a hot and cold bar, where you can taste everything from the traditional aguachile, ceviche, or campechanas, to specialty dishes such as rock shrimp, fish shaken or seafood soup, in addition to a special menu for the little ones.

Las Hamacas Restaurant is open from 10 am to 7:00 pm, and trips from the bay to the restaurant end at 5:30. For more information, find them on Facebook as Restaurante Las Hamacas or call the numbers 6671 97 10 32 and 6672 21 34 48.
