Deputies demand that Sinaloa be included in the regularization of “chocolates” cars

Culiacán, Sinaloa.- In the tribune, deputies closed ranks in support of the state governor, Rubén Rocha Moya, to ask the president of Andrés Manuel López Obrador that Sinaloa be included among the states that are allowed to regularize foreign cars.

The coordinator of the PAS parliamentary group, Alba Virgen Montes, said that regularization is not only about tax collection, but also about doing justice to the most vulnerable classes.

In his position, he specified that it is estimated that between 250,000 and 300,000 illegal vehicles circulate in our state, of these only 20,000 cars are registered with the National Organization for Self-Protection and Insurance Fund, AC (ONAFAAC).

“For this reason, the deputies and the deputies of the Sinaloense Party make an appeal to the 40 deputies to issue an expression in support of the request of our governor Rubén Rocha Moya before President Andrés Manuel López Obrador,” he indicated.

The legislator recalled that the deputy of Morena Serapio Vargas had already established a position where he proposed to President Andrés Manuel López Obrador, that Sinaloa was included in the Agreement for the definitive importation of used vehicles, so that in this way do justice to the population most vulnerable who cannot afford a new car.

For her part, the deputy of the PRI faction, Gloria Himelda Félix Niebla acknowledged that the decree issued by the federal government for the regularization of border vehicles will allow many people and families to have access to the acquisition of an automotive unit allowing them mobility.

However, he clarified that in order to give certainty to the issue of importing vehicles of foreign origin, it is necessary to reform the General Customs Law.

The legislator explained that this reform corresponds to the Congress of the Union, giving as a benefit that the procedure to export a vehicle the procedure in Sinaloa and in Mexico is not tortuous, high cost and the high rate of corruption and coyote is reduced. .

“My proposal is to create an initiative and sign it as a legislature and thus be able to solve this underlying problem and avoid coyotaje, in addition to the procedures that are very tortuous,” he said.

He also proposed that the time be extended so that the vehicles can be in national territory for one year and not six months as established. If this reform to the Customs Law is carried out, it will be guaranteed that imported vehicles transit correctly in our State.
