The National Migration Institute confirmed that they lacked documents to prove their legal stay in Mexico, so after transferring them to the Acayucan immigration delegation, where they were given medical assistance and food, as well as the return to their country. After this, the driver and a co-driver were arrested.

So far this year, more than 500 migrants have been insured in Veracruz by elements of the State Police and National Guard in different municipalities. The routes they pass through are toll-free federal highways such as Gulf Coast 180 and Federal 145.

The municipalities where there have been more insurances in frequency are Las Choapas and Cosoleacaque, although the highest number of insured migrants occurred in Ixhuatlán del Sureste with 130 and Alvarado with 73, where people were transported in the box of a company trailer by courier and by bus respectively.
