For more than 14 years the Beltrán family has sold the famous “diablitos”, a type of Mexican “slurpee” prepared with plum and apricot chamoy.

This refreshing drink is very popular in the area, it consists of ice, plum and apricot chamoy, sweet and sour orange and tangerine ground chile, and topped with a tamarindo sweet stick.

Chamoy is a variety of savory sauces and condiments in Mexican cuisine made from pickled fruit. Chamoy may range from a liquid to a paste consistency, and typically its flavor is salty, sweet, sour, and spiced with chiles.

“It’s a different option to beat the summer heat in Mazatlán,” stated Manuel Beltrán

Without a doubt, the “diablito” is a delicious drink to enjoy in this hot summer season.
