This survey, which is conducted every three months, also revealed that the feeling of insecurity is greater in the case of women since 78.7 percent consider it a risk to carry out their daily activities, compared to 68.2 percent in the case of men.

According to the people surveyed, for fear of being victims of a crime, the population changed their habits regarding carrying valuables such as jewelry, money or credit cards, in 62.4%; while 55.7% changed their habits regarding “allowing their youngest children to leave their home, 51.7% alternated several routes to” walk around their home, after eight o’clock at night “and 36% modified routines related to” visit relatives or friends. “

The municipalities where people live with the greatest fear are Ecatepec, Coatzacoalcos, Naucalpan, Villahermosa, and Tapachula.
