The Undersecretary of Foreign Trade, Luz María de la Mora, advanced the measure before the tax that the EU applies to steel
Mexico City.- The Ministry of Economy expects to impose tariffs on US agricultural products in the coming weeks , in retaliation for the 25 percent tax charged to Mexican steel imported from the United States, he told the Undersecretary of Foreign Trade, Luz María de la Mora
“A few more weeks we will take the internal legal processes for all the revisions that have to be made, we will apply it for a few months and we will see what the result is,” he said.
The undersecretary acknowledged that they are concerned about the measures taken by the US administration on the issue of migration, because they are affecting bilateral trade on the northern border, so they do not rule out taking action.
“If there is a provision that states that no unnecessary measures should be taken to trade and we want this to be resolved quickly and through dialogue.”
