The governor of the Bank of Mexico (Banxico) Alejandro Diaz de Leon, was named as the central banker of 2019 for America, by the specialized publication The Banker, in recognition of his leadership during times of volatility.

In its latest edition published this Wednesday, The Banker released the awards it gives to the most recognized banking institutions and central bankers for their contribution to growth and stability in their economies.
