After the end of the holiday season, urban transportation, especially green ecotaxis, has seen a decrease in demand.
The general secretary of Green Ecotaxis, Ramón Guevara Figueroa, noted that demand for the units has been low and attributes this to the return of young people and children to school.

“Well, demand is low right now, honestly, because it’s due to the school season when everyone, honestly, is spent because of the expenses they have to pay for their children to go to school,” he noted.
He added that weekends and soccer games generate increases in demand.
“The spikes we see are on weekends, especially when there’s also a soccer game, when some teams come here to play, and demand increases a bit, but it’s going downhill,” said Guevara Figueroa.
The Secretary General also spoke about the fleet’s operation and the low nighttime activity.
“What does decrease significantly is at night. We have practically 70 percent of the fleet stopped because the nightlife in Mazatlán is practically disappearing little by little due to the insecurity we are experiencing throughout the state,” he explained.
He also emphasized that demand increases moderately during the weekends, although most of the week the fleet operates at a limited rate.
“But on weekends, I repeat, demand increases slightly, but generally during the week, we do decrease, down to just 30 percent of the fleet,” he concluded.
