The Governor of Sinaloa, Rubén Rocha Moya, held a working meeting with Ricardo Dueñas Espriú, CEO of Grupo Aeroportuario Centro Norte (OMA), to review the progress of the company’s investment plan at the Culiacán and Mazatlán airports.
Accompanied by the state’s Secretary of Economy, Ricardo Velarde Cárdenas, and Sinaloa businessman Javier Gaxiola Coppel, the governor highlighted the importance of these projects for the state’s economic and tourism development.
The plan includes an investment of approximately 1.5 billion pesos. More than 1 billion pesos will be allocated to Culiacán alone, representing OMA’s second largest investment among the 13 airports it operates.
The projects include expanding the terminal to double its capacity, with an investment of nearly 470 million pesos, as well as improvements to runways, taxiways, and equipment.
In Mazatlán, an investment of approximately 400 million pesos is planned for the modernization of platforms and runways. One of the most visible changes will be the integration of domestic and international flights into a single waiting area.
With this effort, OMA and the state government reaffirm their commitment to improving air connectivity and boosting Sinaloa’s competitiveness.
