Motorists in Mazatlán are advised to expect temporary road closures across various areas of the city this Saturday as part of the IMDEM Powerade Run event.

The Municipal Government has announced that road closures will commence at 1:00 PM and continue until 8:00 PM, primarily affecting the boardwalk and surrounding neighborhoods. The affected roads include:

Paseo Olas Altas Avenue, which will be closed from the Sinaloa State Seal to Sixto Osuna Street as of 1:00 PM.

Starting at 3:30 PM, Paseo Claussen Avenue will be completely closed between Zaragoza Avenue and Olas Altas Avenue, near the Sinaloa State Seal.

At 5:00 PM, northbound lanes on Paseo Claussen Avenue will be closed from Zaragoza Avenue to Avenida del Mar, connecting with Isla de Chivos Street.

The IMDEM Powerade Run features three different distances – 3, 5, and 10 kilometers – which will take runners through the Historic Center and along Mazatlán’s famous boardwalk.

Residents and visitors are being advised by municipal authorities to plan ahead and take necessary precautions when traveling through the area. This includes finding alternative routes and leaving early if possible, to avoid congestion caused by the road closures.
