Zaandam Cruise Ship Arrives in Mazatlán: 109th of 2024

On Friday, December 13, the Zaandam cruise ship arrived in Mazatlán, Sinaloa, from Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, carrying 1,345 passengers and 559 crew members. This marks the 109th tourist ship to visit the port in 2024.

Confidence in Mazatlán

Mireya Sosa Osuna, Secretary of Tourism of the State, emphasized that the arrival of the Zaandam confirms the confidence of shipping companies in continuing their tours to Mazatlán. She noted that five ships have arrived this month alone, bringing a total of 15,671 passengers and 5,695 crew members.

Upcoming Arrivals

Sosa Osuna also announced that 13 more cruise ships are scheduled to arrive in December. On December 24, two ships will dock, and on Christmas, three more are expected, including The World, which will stay for two nights—a first since 2021.

The Zaandam arrived at 10:45 a.m. and will depart at 5:00 p.m. for Loreto, Baja California Sur. During their stay, cruise passengers explore Mazatlán’s main tourist attractions, generating significant economic benefits for the city.
