Former mayor of Mazatlán, Sinaloa, arrested; he is accused of domestic violence and child abduction

The former mayor of Mazatlán, Jorge Rodríguez Pazos, accused of the crimes of domestic violence, injuries and abduction of minors, for which there is a reward of one million pesos for his location and capture, was placed in a hospital in the port, where the judicial authorities are keeping him under guard.

The Attorney General of the State, Claudia Zulema Sánchez Kondo said that personnel went to the hospital to execute the arrest warrant that exists against him, for the illegal abduction of his minor daughters Ximena Sarahi and América Lupita.

She indicated that upon learning that a person with the characteristics of Rodríguez Pazos, for whom there is an arrest warrant and the offer of a reward of one million pesos that leads to his capture, was admitted in serious condition to a hospital in the port, personnel were sent to execute the arrest warrant.

The information that is known is that the former mayor of the port was accused by his wife in September 2020, of the crimes of domestic violence, injuries and illegal abduction of his daughters Ximena Sarahi and América Lupita.

In February 2023, he announced that the issuance of the offer of a reward of one million pesos for their location and capture is an instrument in which it is sought that the citizens contribute to their location.

It was reported that in December 2022, with prior authorization from the mother of the minors, Amber alerts were issued to search for Ximena Sarahi and América Lupita, who were abducted from their home in Mazatlán, in September 2020 by their father, Jorge Rodríguez Pasos.

Since they were abducted, they have not had contact with their mother, Guadalupe Valle, nor is there any official record of them attending classes at any public or private educational institution.

On February 2, 2023, in the state capital, his ex-spouse, Guadalupe Valle, distributed the photograph of Rodríguez Pasos, along with the Amber Alert files issued by the judicial authority in December 2022, of her daughters Ximena Sarahi “N”, seven years old, and América Lupita “N”, 14 years old, who disappeared.

The complainant stated that, despite the fact that her daughters were abducted from their home in Mazatlán, in September 2020, by her ex-partner, Rodríguez Pasos, the judicial authorities took more than two years to issue the search files.

Guadalupe Valle made public that she is concerned that her two minor daughters, since September 2020, when they were abducted from their home in Mazatlán, have not attended classes, since there is no record of them in public or private schools.
