During the morning press conference, the national leader reiterated that Sinaloa is experiencing a ‘special situation’ as a result of the arrest of ‘El Mayo’
Mazatlán, Sinaloa.- “It is being handled with presence and intelligence,” responded President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, when questioned about the shooting in Mazatlán on the night of Sunday, October 27, between opposing groups, which left one person dead and a taxi driver injured by a stray bullet.
During the “morning” press conference, the national leader pointed out that Sinaloa is experiencing a special situation, as a result of the arrest of Ismael “El Mayo” Zambada in September.
“Sinaloa has a special situation as a result of this arrest that was made, information is still being requested, it was an arrest in the United States based on a process that is not very clear yet and is being attended to, above all with presence and intelligence,” she said.
Sheinbaum added that on Tuesday 29th the security report will be given in which more information will be given on the case of Sinaloa and other entities of the Republic.
During the weekend, a total of 5 murders were recorded, two on Saturday night and three on Sunday.
Also, on the night of the same Sunday, a blockade was reported in the vicinity of the Pepsi warehouse, clashes in Puerta de Canoas and El Chilillo, in addition to the presence of armed convoys from the center and south of Sinaloa.
