Some hoteliers in Mazatlán have not been flexible with their rates or with making changes to dates, due to the situation of violence and the constant closures that have occurred on the Durango-Mazatlán highway, reported the president of the Association of Travel Agencies, Gina Rivas.
“After this last closure, I think it is affecting us a lot because some hoteliers are not flexible with their rates, with the cheapest rates, we are already struggling to get changes and refunds. So I would like to tell people who want to travel to try to buy flexible rates, since the cheapest ones are not refundable and it would be important for them to check the rates so they can make changes or, at some point, be very aware that they are not refundable,” she said.
She said that the current situation of violence is uncertain and, although it can happen at any moment, this is not certain, so uncertainty prevails.
In light of this, he urged Durango residents to opt for rates that allow changes.
