In the midst of the violence crisis in Sinaloa, Rocha Moya comes to Mexico City for a meeting with García Harfuch

In the midst of the violence crisis in Sinaloa, Rubén Rocha Moya, governor of that state, reported that this Saturday, October 5, he will meet with the Secretary of Public Security and Citizen Protection (SSCP), Omar García Harfuch, in Mexico City.

The governor of Sinaloa declared that it will be a work meeting related to the security of the state of Sinaloa.

“I thank Secretary Omar García Harfuch, head of the SSPC of the Mexican government for his willingness to meet with me tomorrow Saturday in Mexico City to hold a work meeting related to the security of the state of Sinaloa.”

The event was announced this afternoon on the social network X of the governor, who thanked the secretary for his willingness to face the situation that besieges the state.

Following the arrest of “El Mayo” Zambada and Joaquín Guzmán López, son of “El Chapo” Guzmán, in July, Sinaloa began a wave of violence that has kept the authorities and citizens on alert, who have been forced to stop their daily activities to avoid the risk.

The Attorney General of the State of Sinaloa reported that 138 intentional homicides were recorded during September, the month in which the confrontation between “Los Chapitos” and “Los Mayos”, factions of the Sinaloa Cartel, began.

The last report on violence prior to the announcement of said meeting was about the murder of seven people, of which five bodies were abandoned with hats on near the barracks in Culiacán.

In the October print edition, Proceso revealed that the National Intelligence Center (CNI) and military intelligence services “are personally following and keeping an eye on” Rocha Moya on the instructions of then-President Andrés Manuel López Obrador and with the approval of President Claudia Sheinbaum.
