Seven murders were reported on Monday night in the municipalities of Culiacán and Mazatlán, in addition to the report of 22 vehicle thefts and 10 reports of forced disappearance, the State Attorney General’s Office reported.
At midnight, four lifeless bodies were found in different parts of Culiacán and in Mazatlán, three people were murdered, one man executed with several shots while walking down a street in the Benito Juárez neighborhood, while the other two people were executed inside a home where there are gambling machines in the Rafael Buelna neighborhood, located on the southern exit to Tepic.
The FGE began the investigation in the Specialized Unit for Intentional Homicide, central region in the Las Arenitas locality, municipality of El Dorado and another investigation file was opened for the location of two lifeless bodies inside the home in the Alameda Residential and others for the location of a lifeless person in the Las Glorias neighborhood, in Culiacán.
In addition, the Specialized Unit for Vehicle Theft in the central region received 22 complaints and the Specialized Prosecutor’s Office for Forced Disappearance of Personnel reported that they registered 10 complaints in the municipality of Culiacán for the crime of deprivation of personal liberty.
The State Public Security Secretariat (SSPE) also reported that in collaboration with the Mexican Army they seized two trucks reported stolen in the town of Aguamitas, municipality of Navolato. They also responded to the report of complaints that turned out to be negative regarding the presence of armed civilians in areas such as the Eureka field in Costa Rica, in the town of Emiliano Zapata in Culiacán and Los Pochotes in Navolato.
