They denounce extortions

Last July, members of the National Confederation of Mexican Transporters (Conatram) held a mega caravan on the Saltillo-Monterrey highway to denounce the extortions of which they claim they are victims in Nuevo Leon.

They indicated that the various municipalities of the state demand “kickbacks” from them, ranging from 3 to 5 thousand pesos to let them circulate.

They denounced that the situation is more serious in the municipalities of Salinas Victoria, El Carmen, Ciénega de Flores, Abasolo, Hidalgo, Juárez and Monterrey.

After the protest, they had a meeting with the Secretary General of Government, Javier Navarro, who promised to stop extortion and abuses, and said he would coordinate a meeting with the Security Secretaries of the different municipalities.
