Residents of Sábalo Country, in Mazatlán, ask that their land use in the settlement be respected

Residents of the Sábalo Country subdivision are tired of the fact that the land use of the settlement is not being respected, as more and more constructions are being built that violate the regulations for that sector of the city.

This was announced by Santos Joel Cañedo Rodríguez, president of the Union of Residents of the Sábalo Country Subdivision, who commented that, due to this issue, they previously carried out a blockade of Camarón Sábalo Avenue like the one they planned to carry out this Tuesday morning, but unfortunately the weather conditions did not favor them, although it did not prevent them from raising their voices.

The president of the residents asked the municipal authorities, on behalf of his neighbors, to apply the law, to begin to respect the use of land in the subdivision and to give a response to the situation they are going through.

“It is to demand an immediate response from the authorities regarding the use of land in the subdivision. They continue to violate the use of land in the subdivision. We had blocked the avenue last month, they agreed to give us a favorable response to the problem and until now they have never spoken to us.”

Santos Joel Cañedo recalled that according to the law, three-story developments are permitted in this sector of the city, but within the settlement there are four four-story buildings under development, which presupposes problems in the drainage and drinking water system mainly, but also greater mobility and wear on the roads.

Therefore, he warned that, if they continue without an immediate response from the municipal authorities, they will continue with the closure of avenues in the city, until they are heard and attended to.
