How much do you pay in property tax in Mazatlán? This could change soon

The Municipal Cadastre Board authorized the start of work to determine the unitary values ​​of the land in the municipalities of El Quelite, Villa Unión, El Roble and Siqueros, with which they will be able to determine a possible increase in the property tax.

The meeting was chaired by the mayor of Mazatlán, Édgar González Zataráin, and the technical secretary of the Board, councilman Roberto Rodríguez Lizárraga. Municipal authorities, directors, representatives of professional associations, civil associations and chambers of architects and engineers attended.

During the meeting, Roberto Rodríguez Lizárraga stressed that reviews, modifications and approvals of the unitary values ​​of the land and construction will be carried out in accordance with the provisions of the Cadastre Law of the state of Sinaloa, who stressed that this request was made by the State Cadastral Institute, whose objective is to know the price of the houses.

“With classified information that allows us to obtain an exact value, at least an approximation of the land and the construction that serves as a basis for setting the amount of the property tax, as well as for the transfer of real estate property.”

The Municipal Cadastre Board has the responsibility of analyzing, studying and making recommendations on cadastral matters on the proposals received from the Cadastral Institute for the State of Sinaloa, as well as proposing pertinent measures. During this session, some members believed that these should be done jointly.

It was agreed to begin these work sessions on August 15, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
