Woman found beaten to death inside motel in Mazatlán

At noon this Monday, cleaning staff at a motel found a woman lying on the floor of a room; upon arrival, authorities and emergency services confirmed that she was deceased.

The report was made known at 12:15 p.m., where they reported a woman injured by blows in a room of the motel located at the corner of the International Highway and Óscar Pérez Escobosa Avenue.

A cleaning employee of the motel was about to clean the room when she saw that the vehicle that had entered left the premises, but upon entering the room, she found the woman motionless and immediately reported the incident to the administrators.

The first responders were Municipal Police who entered the room and, as per protocol, requested an ambulance so that paramedics could assess the woman; minutes later, Red Cross rescuers entered the motel, but only confirmed that the victim no longer had vital signs.

Due to the circumstances of the death, Uneprevif personnel took charge of the case and notified the staff of the State Attorney General’s Office, so that they could certify the death and carry out the legal proceedings.

At the moment, the details of the deceased are unknown, and with the data of the registered vehicle, an investigation file was opened to try to find the alleged responsible party.
