Mazatlán, Sin.- The first edition of the Sedectur 2023 Tourism Sector Employment Fair began this Thursday in the well-known commercial plaza in the north of the city with the participation of 30 hotel and restaurant companies that offer 150 vacancies for those who require a formal job.
The coordinator of Economic Development of the Secretariat of Economic Development, Tourism and Fisheries, Abel Osuna, mentioned that one of the priorities of the current municipal administration is to provide citizens with opportunities to improve their quality of life.
He stressed that with the growth that this city has, companies have greater needs to attract qualified personnel to cover the vacancies and the demand they face, especially in seasons such as summer.
“Right now it is the summer vacation season and there are many vacancies for students in temporary jobs in the hotel and restaurant industry. Let the public be encouraged because there are good vacancies, in the hotel industry there is a need for receptionists and chambermaids, in the restaurant they are looking for everything from cooks to waiters, there are many vacancies, they take advantage of it”.
The Sedectur 2023 Tourism Sector Employment Fair will continue in Plaza Acaya this Friday, July 7, opening hours are from 10:00 in the morning to 03:00 in the afternoon.
At the inauguration and in synergy with the State Government, the authorities present opened the service modules of the Civil Registry, Infonavit, SAT and the State DIF System to provide support and process official documentation free of charge for attendees who require it.
It should be noted that these efforts were joined by the Municipal Youth Institute, the National Employment Service in the entity, as well as representatives of the Hotel Association and Canirac, as well as managers and directors of the various companies that offered their vacancies.
