The researcher of the INAH Sinaloa center, Joel Santos Ramírez, revealed that in the statistics, Las Labradas entered number 10 of public visits to archaeological zones in the country.

For her part, the Secretary of Tourism of Sinaloa, Estrella Palacios Domínguez, explained that it is a site that is sought to be named a World Heritage Site, a hallmark granted by UNESCO.

“We are going to continue working in coordination with all the authorities from the Ministry of Tourism so that more tourists know, visit and value this place, and we hope that the archaeological zone of Las Labradas de San Ignacio, Sinaloa, continues to be recognized worldwide”, she said.

The municipal president Octavio Bastidas Manjarrez, mentioned that the fact that it can be considered a World Heritage Site is not a peasant dream; It can be achieved with the joint effort of all.

“We are in a special area, it is the protected area of the Meseta de Cacaxtla where obviously everything that corresponds to the ecosystem within this entire place must be taken care of. If we become a World Heritage Site, that the inhabitants of the Chicayota have a benefit, he concluded.
