MAZATLAN. – The time to walk with your best friend, help and have fun has arrived in Mazatlan with the first edition of “The 5 kilometers Can-rrera (Can-race) 2023”, and it will be next Sunday, March 26, a clear idea of promoting values and culture for the care of your pet, in addition to doing physical activity with your dog and at the same time being a family life.

Julio Ruiz, manager of Operation La Buena Vibra, revealed all the details of the event, which consists of a recreational run-walk, involving the human and its dog, activity that is expected to be a great party with around 200 participants.

Ruiz said that the event will have two important causes: one, family life, and another, that a significant percentage of the profits will go to the Animalist Foundations of Mazatlán A.C. (AMAZ) and for the Amigos de los Animales shelter, as well as to cover the feeding, care and sterilization needs of rescued animals.

“It is a family coexistence that we are looking for, more than a competition; It is the first time that it has been done here in Mazatlán, we already did it in Culiacán and it was a great success, we hope that we all have a great time,” said Ruiz.

The departure is scheduled at 7:00 in the morning, on Avenida Pérez Escobosa, in front of the main candlelight of Parque Lineal, in Libramiento II; and the route will go to Manuel J. Clouthier avenue, where it will return, to finish on the other side of Pérez Escobosa.

We anticipate that registration will cost 300.00 pesos and will be open to the public. To do so, you must register at the facilities of La Buena Vibra 99.5 FM, located on Avenida del Mar, subdivision Palos Prietos No. 80.

The day before, all the Kits will be delivered at the Parque Lineal, on Avenida Pérez Escobosa, in Libramiento II, on Saturday, March 25, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

T-shirts for humans and bandanas for dogs will be delivered, as well as water for hydration during the event; It is worth mentioning that there will be extra t-shirts and scarves for sale.

In addition, there will be raffles among the participants and prizes consisting of sponsor kits for the first, second and third place in the race.

For her part, the director of Ecology in Mazatlán, Eunice Murúa Figueroa, stated that it is very important to be a participant in this type of event that unites the entire community.

Expo fair

At the end of the day of the event, an Expo Fair for pets will be set up, where there will be an emergency medical service, a veterinary doctor, the sale of food, drinks and accessories for pets.
