MAZATLAN. – The World Trade Center Mazatlán project is still underway and will be larger than planned, reported Juan José Arellano Hernández, president of the Board of Directors of Grupo ARHE and project leader.

In an interview, he mentioned that it was possible to get one more polygon on the land where this business complex will be, which, without a doubt, will mark a before and after in the city of Mazatlán as a business center.

“We are doing well, fortunately we were able to get one more polygon to be able to carry out a more ambitious project than what was initially planned, right now we are making the adjustments and validating with the World Trade Center chains that have a great interest in participating in the project,” he said.

The Mazatlan businessman pointed out that, with this new redistribution, it would be taking at least six months longer than what they had contemplated, with the expectation of starting its construction at the end of 2024.

“In a generic way we bring to the conceptual project, and we are still standing to start in 2024, maybe at the end of the year, but we are going there… It is to the other side, 40 percent more of the land of the territorial reserve than what we had the original,” he declared.

Arellano Hernández added that the authorities, both municipal and state, have shown themselves to be accessible and open to this project, considering it a significant advance that Mazatlán needs to position itself internationally facing a brand like the World Trade Center.

The arrival of this business franchise to Mazatlán was announced in September 2022, where the president of the Board of Directors of Grupo ARHE announced that the “vertical city” will be made with an investment of approximately 200 million dollars, with a comprehensive complex and that will have the goal of developing it in at least five years.

The project will be built in the area where the Plaza de Toros is currently located, on Avenida Rafael Buelna, and is considered a mixed-use development.

It will be made up of a business center that will include “business-to-business” rooms, offices and an auditorium; residential condominiums; business-class hotels; specialized medical services and commercial plaza.
