MAZATLAN. – If you are thinking of going out this weekend with your family, partner or friends, this information interests you, since on Sunday the Mazatlán boardwalk will be close to carry out the Triathlon of the CONADE 2023 National Games.
Municipal authorities announced that for this sporting event they will close an important part of the Mazatlan boardwalk from 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., since the coastal walkway will be the track for athletes from Sinaloa in search of a ticket to the next phase.
The Triathlon is a discipline that includes swimming, athletics, and cycling, in that order and without interruption between one test to the next; the time that the triathlete takes to change from one discipline to another is called transition; the one from swimming to cycling is known as T1 and the one from cycling to running as T2.
According to a statement made by the authorities, the stretch of Del Mar Avenue, from the Fisherman’s Monument to Flamingos, will be used for athletics; from Flamingos monument to the Escudo de olas altas, it will be the track for the cycling competition.
It is estimated that the competition will end at noon and immediately the avenues will be open to vehicles circulation.
