Culiacán, Sinaloa.– This Sunday, in Culiacán, the Skate Fest 2023 competitions began with a great participation of local and foreign skaters, in all its categories.
As part of the event, the visionaries for future athletes who have the talent to stand out in the Olympic games, are held at the Skate Park of Parque Las Riberas. The competition began with the minor and senior male youth branch.
At Skate Fest 2023, there are five judges who rate each of the competitors, in aspects such as speed, trick, and course on the track. Four are from Culiacán and one from the municipality of Guasave.
The director of the Municipal Youth Institute, Alexis Luque Arreaola, said that, in collaboration with the State Government, they are working to promote discipline, with new strategies that improve public recreation spaces for people of all ages.
“We are putting a lot of efforts on those children who are with us today, maybe from here today comes the idea of having a representative for all of Mexico in the Olympic Games,” he declared.
For his part, the head of the ISJU, Saul Meza López, thanked the Skate Community, since they have never lowered their guard and have always been working with the authorities so that the sport does not decline in Culiacán.
It should be noted that from 4 to 5 in the afternoon, the winners of the different ranks will be announced.
